Tuition Scholarship

The San Diego Black Nurses Association Scholarship is open to nursing students at all levels, including Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to those pursuing a Doctorate in Nursing.

Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited LVN, RN or graduate nursing program, with proof of enrollment.

Students in their first semester/quarter are eligible to apply as long as all application requirements are satisfied.

The following items must accompany the scholarship application.

Official transcript demonstrating a grade point average of 2.5 or better.

Two letters of recommendation from an individual knowledgeable about an applicant's personal and professional character (i.e. clinical instructor, mentor, or employer; sources cannot be not a family member).

A recent photograph MUST accompany the application.
- Upon receipt of scholarship, awardee must maintain chapter membership for at least one year and attend a minimum of four chapter events
